Perth homeowner blocked from $130,000 SAT-ordered payout after builder goes bankrupt

A Perth woman awarded more than $100,000 over a home makeover nightmare will not see a cent after her builder went bankrupt.

Kerry Beake hired former contractor Peter John Edmonds to undertake a range of work at her Dudley Park home including renovations to the value of $96,000, the Mandurah Magistrates Court was told.

She wanted a shed converted to a granny flat and had locked in upgrades to the main house, including making the bathroom safe for her sick dad and his carer.
